Butterflies and Boats

I've been planning the next two projects for stamp camp.  For one project, I decided we'd make a matchbook sticky-note holder.  I got the instructions from the May Stampin' Up magazine, Stampin' Success.

The picture shows what I decided we'd make in class.  The "matchbook" opens and there is a sticky note pad in there.  It's perfect for a small gift, to keep on your desk, or even to keep in your purse.  I used the Big Shot to emboss the front.  I love using my newest "toy," the Big Shot.  The yellow (cardstock and stamp pad ink) is one of the new colors this year, Summer Starfruit.

We'll also make a masculine birthday card in class.  I ordered The Open Sea stamp set this afternoon, so it should be here in time for me to design the card and for us to use in class.  It'll be something like the masculine cards I've pictured below:

A new stamp blog hop will begin on June 8.  Visit my blog for the info.  If you "hop" on all the blogs I list and leave a comment, you'll be entered to win a prize.  So, be sure to come back on June 8.

Cards and Gifts

I love making two birthday cards using the same layout but different colors.  I got the idea for this card from Sandra Farrell, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Vancouver, BC.

But wait, there's more...
I work at KITH, a non-profit organization that provides low-cost housing to help people get back on their feet.  One of my coworkers asked me to do some Post-It notepad covers using our colors (blue and white with some black).  I chose the roof stamp over the word "Some" because our logo actually has a similar roof over our name.  The roof I used is from the stamp set Easy Events (but it was not easy to only stamp the roof and not anything else on the stamp) .  The saying is from my favorite stamp set called Just Believe.  Anyway, these will be thank-you gifts for the board members.
