Just-for-Fun Cards

My second stamp camp is coming up on Monday and Tuesday, so below is one of the cards we'll be doing.  It's a pinwheel card and is fun to make.  I made several sample pinwheels to show folks.  I even put a button in the center of one pinwheel.

Yesterday I went to Pennie's house.  Pennie is my "upline" (the demonstrator who recruited me). She showed me a few different techniques and made the cards below.  It was a fun afternoon.  Thanks, Pennie.
Pennie showed me how to use the Stampin' Up brayer to make this green card.  It is a new technique for me to try.

The card above was fairly simple to make and used the Summer Smooches stamp set.  Pennie then used iridescent ice embossing powder over the stamped design.  It sparkles!  To visit Pennie's blog and see more of her designs, go to http://penniemccallum.typepad.com/stamping_with_pennie/ .

The last card I'm posting from my afternoon with Pennie is the one pictured above.  It's a great way to use a busy patterned paper.  I love how it turned out and wish it was the one I had in the blog hop.  If you haven't checked out the blog hop, go to my Blog Hop tab and be sure to visit the blogs and enter to win a prize.

That's all I have for you today.  Hope you enjoyed my show and tell.

  1. We did have some fun didn't we? I love stamping on the fly - reminds me a bit of the the cooking show "Chopped". Pick some ingredients and make something fun (and almost tasty LOL!)

  2. Love them! What is a brayer? Are you going to come help me make my Christmas cards in July?

  3. A brayer is a hand roller used to spread ink. It is an interesting technique.
